    NEW Evolution Zen / Mason Engineering Rear Brace


    Designed to mitigate Stress applied to trunk floor pan and rear differential mounting point as well as Strengthen Rear Chassis between the shock towers. Specifications: Designed to fit on E30 Chassis coupes, sedans and M3 from 9/87 with no prior collision damage.

    " I was a naysayer on rear shock braces until late 1997, my thinking was that the shocks would not transmit the kind of forces that the brace seemed to be designed to mitigate...

    Then I had to concede that they had some effect after it was demonstrated for me that there was compliance in that area...

    Then... In 2005 (after doing some extensive testing on my own) I found that there was a very good reason for lateral reinforcement in this part of the chassis... It mitigates flex transmitted from the sub-frame causing twisting around the axis of the rear "Bulk head"... Even in moderate driving conditions."

            if this was for an '86 id be all over it...

            your comin up with a fairly robust chassis strengthening system over there for the e30 with the strut brace, rear brace and xbrace... I am loving it, keep pushing out the parts

              We are working on the pre 9/87 pan plate I'll post when it's done and available.

                  Yeah, I even impressed myself with this one, thinking of changing our name to "We Be Strut Barz 'N' Shit"

                  Some things I thought would be issues with doing this evaporated, I didn't think we would be ready for at least a couple of more months.
