back to the question... What is the largest 4 lug BBK that people are running.
I'm not sure why these wheels are "for the look..." You seem to be pretty preoccupied with looks. Personally I'm getting these wheels to improve my wide tire options. 235/40/17 is a stock E36 M3 size so the options and pricing are much better then what's out there for my current 16s. I could drop down to a 15 but I like the crispness of the short sidewall.

Cool, If you can find a kit to fit those wheels, but then your stuck. Buy same kit with bigger wheels and you have room to improve if need be. Why might I ask are you looking for a bbk anyway?
E30 brakes suck. But unless you're running a lot of tire, Massive's street kit is the perfect upgrade: good price, great stopping power, excellent wheel clearance. Yes, they will look small under these wheels but that's an issue for another day.

I highly recommend you talk to Massive Lee on these forums, as he is THE man when it comes to BBKs for our cars. His largest 4 lug 300x32mm kit barely fits under a few select 15" wheels, so you will need 16s in most cases....if you need that much brake.

The downside to running 15 or 16 inch wheels is the complete and utter lack of proper tire sizes. 235/40/17 is a very common size, in nearly every sticky rubber compound available (street and track), and should be usable with these wheels. 245/40/17 or 245/35/17 should also fit with more rolling.

A 16 inch wheel will run into width issues due to suspension geometry and fenders.....suffice to say without knowing what wheel offset and width, a 225 tire is about the max, 245 with a rather huge roll. Now, good luck finding good rubber that aren't R-comp only in 245/16.

Same again for 15s. a 225/45/15 is about the max you can fit on a 15x8 with perfect offsets.

PM Mystikal for better fitment advice, as I'm just repeating what I've read here. The gist of it though is that these 17s were designed to fit Lee's kits, from 300 to 332mm (e30m3 only), allow you to run good wide rubber for not too much more money over 15 or 16s, weigh less than some popular 15s and 16s, and look tits.

No worries, it's a long thread. PM PaintPro21 and he'll get you squared away. You will need to decide what finish you want when you talk with him though.

            Thanks for choosing the wheels!

Just received a low quality image of the 4x100 anthracite wheel taken before it was put in a box and shipped out. It's in low light and grainy so I look forward to taking good photos of it once it arrives :D

I'll be offering spacers at a discount to members who sign up for the groupbuy, for those who really want a more aggressive offset. Spacer pricing not available to those who do not joint the groupbuy

Anthracite is cool, I'm hoping the Hyper Black was the right choice though. Blip, good to hear your joining.

As for e30 brakes, are you guys talking STOCK, OEM, BONE STOCK brakes? Will stock system w/ fluid, pads, lines, rotors, and caliper rebuild be good?

PM me for detailing services in the Longmont / Boulder Area in Colorado!

stock is fine with good pads. you always want pads that fit your application. the pads in a bbk are the same. the difference that a bbk makes is in some pedal feel and consistency throughout the session. Look at the spec racers of all model cars, they're doing just fine.

Ok cool, I'm wanting to do more track than autox, so i wanna push the stock system with upgrades instead of going with a BBK

That Anthracite looks amazing! Looking forward to seeing clearer pictures.

Is it too late to change finish options? Depending on the anthracite final pictures I may change my mind....

Changing your mind is ok as long as you put it in writing via email to me before the cut off date. FYI that date looks like it will be extended another week. I received another email stating they want to make some additional strength increasing changes to the wheel, so that puts testing/mold modifications behind by 5 days. No biggy, since strength is good and we need more people :D

I'll post a very clear cut off date after I've received the sample and hear more from them.
