piss. just saw this post after i posted. sorry to bother you with the same ole "which sub do you recommend" shit. i'm running a RF 800.2 to run the sub. the specs say 200wx2 @ 4ohm, 400wx2 @ 2 ohm, & 800wx1 @ 4ohm. does that fucking beast of a big sub have a 4ohm variant? or is there any way to run that amp into a mono 2 ohm load (i don't know shit about that stuff). thanks again for all the audio help you provide to the forum...

Fuck. An 800.2? No concerns about weight there, huh? Even if you ran that bitch in 8 ohms mono, you could still make one hell of a boom!

I think the best bet for you (right off the top of my head) is gonna be a P2 or P3 Punch woofer...in dual 2 ohm.

yeah. its big & heavy, but i was really impressed with the power it made when i first bought it back in the day and i got a deal (worked @ best buy in college). at the time i was running it all to a 15" solobaric and it freakin' pounded. but the 15 just won't fit in the back of the e30. nonetheless, thanks for the advice and i'll start seeking out a sub. thanks again.

Measure 15" from your floor, then 4" back (scraping directly on the speaker pods under the rear deck) from the vertical braces...now draw a line straight down from that.

John, for fucks sake, find a camera. Those are great for a cell cam, but find a damn camera.

He is gonna be using a single 12, is that better? Still pretty damn nuts, if you ask me.

In my mind, a perfect system is one that plays loud enough to get you happy, period. Most of the guys on here don't want even as much as I have with a single 12 on 600 RMS (HIGHLY efficient box!) so I really think this single 10 is gonna work really well.

Those prototype pics (millions of pencil marks, sloppy cuts, etc.) do not show the 1/4" foam gasket we glue on the face, nor is the rear panel done...that is the part you get to do yourself, anyway!

I am really excited about the 10 box so far. I like the "no cutting at all" thing, so this is a totally safe mod. I like the fact that this weighs less than the trunk tar (not counting woofer and amp) so the total weight gain is not much, plus the fit is just perfect.

I think you guys are gonna love this box!
