I went with the 12" v2 shipped across the country to NC. The total was $210 (175 + 35 for shipping). Not that all shipping will be the same, but hopefully that helps.

Hey guys we are doing our best! As you know by now luke lives about 2hrs. away from my shop and is swamped with normal work.
He tried his best but the boxes will be shipping out next tuesday.
We are really sorry if thats a problem but here is a picture of them nearly ready to go.
12s in the rear, 10's up front. Those two 10s just haven't been foamed yet.

om nom nom nom BOOM!
Guys, this is just fucking lovely on my end.
Boxes, as you see above, are damn near 100% ready to go. I need to finish the templates, pack the boxes, templates and carpet.
Internet is a fucking whore. My new temporary living situation has shit internet. The ONLY thing available out here is Hughes Sattelite...what crap. Shitty weather means no internet! Half the time I get a post ready and it crashes...but the place is nice, nicely furnished, cool people and there is a lift in the shop.
Last week I got screwed at work having only 1 day off...and drove all the way to Gig Harbor and back and still did not get these shipped.
Guys, I am so sorry. If any of you want refunds, let me know.

The airspace on the 12" box is 2.0 cubic feet, the tuning is 32Hz, so it works very well for woofers with a Qtc under .45 and a fairly low Fs, like under 30Hz.
As far as an actual choice for woofer, it is also dependent on the amp, as you want to make sure you show the amp the impedance it makes the most power at.
The JBL woofers sound great, the Memphis work really well (M1 especially), Exile (of course) and many many others. This is a very easy design to work with. If you are OK with a kind of "boomy" sound (that I do not care for) you could go with some of the higher Qts woofers, like the Kicker CVR or the Alpine Type R or Type S...but I would stick with a lower Q to get cleaner bass.
On the cheap end, the Sony from WalMart sounds really good, expecially for $60 or whatever it is, and handles decent power.
So first, decide on what amp you are gonna use, then pick a woofer based on that.
