Recently a friend of mine read a wanted ad about Mr, B-Well needing a black vert carpet, and referred him to me knowingly that I had one.
I contacted Alex Blackwell via email, we exchanged a few emails which lead to text message and phone calls.
After negotiation we agreed on a price plus shipping, I packed up the carpet and took it to UPS to get shipping quotes, since I have Mr. B-Well cell phone number, while at the UPS center I contacted Alex and gave him a total with shipping which came out to $206.00, since I was already at UPS I told Alex that I was going to send the carpet in anticipation of receiving payment from him, even though we have never met I felt from his communications with me that he was trustworthy enough for me to take a chance, he requested my paypal to pay for the carpet, a few text message follow with my paypal account and a UPS tracking number, Never got payment, contacted Alex again and he apologized for not being able to make payments, that his wife computer at work has paypal blocked and that his son took his laptop to college and was without a computer, I never got payment, Texted him a few times, numerous emails and phone calls never heard from him again, after searching the forum found his user name, my friend sent him a PM, and he replied back with apologies and saying that he was going to take care of it, never did, I sent him a PM, no replies.
SO BE AWARE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE, never ship anything without getting paid first, specially to him, this guy can not be trusted.
Like most of us, I am not a wealthy guy, and as a matter of fact, currently working two jobs to support my wife and two kids while my wife is furthering her education in college. Additionally, I am selling my E30 and many of the E30 parts acquired over the years, to supplement my income.
Note to Alex Blackwell: just remember every time you get in your convertible you are stepping in stolen goods.
I have proof to back this up, it includes, emails, text messges, phone calls and UPS tracking numbers showing that the carpet was shipped and received.
