Sucks I bought a set of Startecs for $250 off him and its been two weeks and nothing.. no response to emails either....

So I'm going to contact my bank as well as submit a claim to paypal as an unauthorized transaction being that's the only way to do it since he asked us all to send payment as a gift. Maybe if enough of us notify paypal about him it might build critical mass to do something. We'll see.

Well looks like at minimum I'll be able to get the money back through the bank but at the expense of likely killing my paypal account. So the question then is how much is that $270.00 worth :P

So if you go this route, can you just setup another paypal account through a different email address once your current account is killed? Let me know how it works out as I've gotten no where with paypal, and will probably do the same as you through my bank.

The worst part is this guy has been on and off R3V for the last couple years (as well as Bimmerforums) and continually gets us every time he comes back as a new member.

As for the bank stuff, I'm not entirely sure if once you file the fraudulent charge with your bank that it permanently blocks paypal or whether paypal blocks your bank. While I'm sure you'll be able to setup a new paypal account (I'm sure scammer dude has lots), I'm not sure if you'll also need to setup a different account at another bank or what yet. I'm sure I'll know more in the coming weeks once I do it.

Thought you should all know paypal decided the case in my favor today. $270 is back in my account!

I was had by him also and just got notification that paypal will be reimbursing me as well. I guess they got numerous complaints.

Just put in dispute on paypal and raised it to a claim.
