    Technica Motorsports/ Markert Motor Works

I really hate to call names on forums but this has gone a bit too far.

Here is the story for those who are interested and first off let me say Dave is a cool guy and did a really great job on my harness. I woudln't think twice from buying another from him and did a really great job and took care of his end of the deal.

I got my ECU shipped to Dave to do the flashing by Technica Motorsports, and got my ECU back (April 11). I finally got everything together and in the car around (May 24) but the car was having issues revving past 4k and has some really weird stumbling issues and pretty much undriveable.

After trying to figure out what was wrong with my S52 swap for around a month (June 1) I finally figured out the tune that was flashed was wrong by swapping in another ECU with the EWS flashed out. I called up Dave a few times during that week to see what could be done but he ended up not answering a phone call and technica answered first . Since this car was my daily and since my friends car i was using was going to need to be returned, i sent the ECU to TechnicaMotorsports to get it fixed.

After calling Techinca and letting them know the issue, they said they could fix it if i just shipped them the ECU back. I priority emailed them the ECU back on (June 6th) and called them about once a week to see what was going on. Every time I called Technica they were really rude and I was more than polite with them. They kept on telling me that they had a lot of things going on, and that my ECU would be shipped out on time and within the next few days.

That was June 6th and its been 3 months since I have got my ECU back. I have been emailing Dave starting August 13th on what my ECU was supposed to got an initial response from him about him checking into it but no progress or response since (partly due to Technica). I simply asked for a refund and this point for the cost of the ECU and the initial flash and i think thats more than fair, i didn't want to bring it to the forums but this has been wayyyy too long.

    TLDR

My ECU has been at Technica since June 6th after them sending me the wrong tune in the first place. Technica assured me that it was going to get taken care of and said they shipped it out but hasn't shown up at my door. Shit communication from Technica Motorsports.

Only playing the messenger here, I sent this to Technica and asked what was up. I was told to tell you(since they don't have a r3v account) to "call them up. Jordan will know whats up."

I just want to see this all sorted and resolved.

            * Update *

Looks like Dave was able to get a hold of them and found out my ECU was sitting on a shelf for some time. Technica told me that it was shipped out at one point and whoever i talked to on the phone said it should have shown up already and would call me with an update but they never did.

I appreciate Dave looking into this for me after I ended up sending the emails to him. If anything Technica should have been the ones taking care of the issue because I was the one who sent them the ecu the 2nd time.

That really sucks. I know how frustrating this kind of thing can be trust me.
I was considering getting a harness and ECU for an OBD2 swap from them once I got my engine. Thanks for the heads up.
Could you clarify who "Dave" is? Is he the owner or just someone who works there? That part was sort of confusing.
And what is 328ijunkie's affiliation with the company? Does he work there or just know them well?

I would definitely get the harness from Dave (328ijunkie) again given the choice, he was really great to work with and took care of me through the process and the harness he makes is top notch. Its just Technica the people who flash the ecu were rude and still haven't made any effort to contact me after reaching out to them numerous times.

If you bought a OBDII motor stick with OBDII, going back to OBDI is not only more expensive ( sourcing parts and putting everything back together) but its stupid.

Yeah I get it now thanks.
And if I get an M52/S52 I will definitely be going OBD2 no doubt about it.:p

Technica is laggy at times yes.

One of my export shop clients had a pretty significant order; (2 fully forged engine build kits) and was probably ~ 6 weeks delayed. In comparison the TRM fully built engine kit arrived on time; both were for the same client and ordered at the same time.

TRM/Techica have a history from prior split; its pretty interesting to be able to monitor these things from a B to B side. i.e. the UUC BBK for e36 my client ordered months ago is still not complete; the UUC twin disc clutches arrived quickly though.

Dave (Market Motorworks) has alway been on point in my own experiences.

Just wanted to drop in and say thank you to Dave. He braved a potentially angry significant other to spot check his product that we recently re-transplanted in to another car.

                      Thanks Dave!
