    Eurotrash727 - Problem!!

On September 17th I purchased a set of pistons and rods that Eurotrash727 was selling.

They were advertised as Euro Eta parts. See ad here:

I received the pistons on Tuesday afternoon and of course promptly opened them up! To my surprise they are not even the correct bore size! Not only that, every piston has some form of damage to it... Cracks, knicks, and scoring. These are of absolutely no value to me nor are they likely to be of value to ANYONE. I am not sure which M20 they are from but I'm assuming it's a B20 or B23.

That night I PM'd the seller at around 7pm explaining my issue with the purchase. Keep in mind I paid $200 for these so I've got a right to be a little upset at this point. Since the seller is on the East Coast I didn't expect a reply until morning. That reply never came. Now, this wouldn't be a big deal but I've checked his profile and he has been online since then (yesterday at around 11am Pacific time).

I have filed a claim with PayPal although I would have liked to resolve this without their help. All the seller needs to do is issue me a refund and I will be happy to completely delete this thread! If he wants these junk pistons and rods back I would be happy to send them back via Priority Mail at his expense.

Did you not request top shots of the pistons or measurements? most of them were even wrapped up...hope it works out Matt. I had the VERY same thing happen with a set of b25 pistons. Heat damage and the ring grooves broken off etc.

By deleting this thread, even after receiving a refund, would be an injustice to the e30 community.

I think you have to return items at your expense during a pp claim

Don't worry, this thread won't be going anywhere at this point. I was hoping for a quick resolution but unfortunately it's hard for people to man up and take responsibility for their actions.

Just a bump to remind R3V what a shit-stain this guy is.

PayPal is waiting until 10/17 to make a decision.

Seller and seller's mother have ignored Facebook contact.

Maybe make a sticky with a list of bad sellers so we can all stay away from.

If they're not banned, scammers like this should at least have something in their user title or permanently in their sig to warn people from buying from them. Of course it doesn't stop them from just making another account, but maybe it would be slightly helpful.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Just want to update that PayPal has recovered the funds.

This guy is off to ban-land now.

Yeah I would have requested pics. Did the seller explicitly say that there was no damage to the pistons?

                          Yes he did.

It doesn't matter though, it's handled.
