Luke is a great guy. I gave him a $100 down payment for an LSD almost two years ago for a deal that eventually fell through. However, I never worried about the money because I know that he will make it right. Some people, I would be calling monthly to ask, but not Luke. He cares too much about this forum, his company, his products and friends to let them down. He will ride this out, of that I am sure.

Same story here, I purchased a "custom" built box to house a 10" JL W10 that was supposed to be the "beast box" back in August . Well the beast must have ran away, this whole week I have tried to call him and I even left him a message but No response still. For guys like KinvodA, we live in a world where it is put up or shut up and unless you are going to put up the $914 for him, then shut up and don't stick up for someone who is STEALING! He is a thief plain and simple.

Be patient. the wait will be worth it. GAS and LUKE are stand-up people. He's fessed that things are bad, so cut some slack. Even if you have to wait 3 more months, it will still be worth the wait. Nobody has a product for e30s with the same fit & finish.

We have major issues here I am the first to say. Evil, unreal, horrible issues which damn near left us homeless...and most of them were beyond my control. They are all entirely my responsibility though.

All of you guys waiting on these, we are trying our best to dig out of one cubic fuckton if shit.

My bank accounts were seized due to my past due child support, even after they promised they would not touch the business account, they seized it again. It is a fucking horrible story and if you wish, I will tell you the whole damn thing...but as a glimpse, let me say that my ex's parents fucked me hard back in 1994 and I have never been able to get any headway on the issue. I owe $130,000 after paying $850 a month for 12 years. My youngest is now 21, I will never ever be out of debt with them.

To make it worse:

We lost our lease and had to move...our one and only neighbor complained to the owner...and due to my insane child support order (thus my son and partner owning the company and not me) we had an incredibly difficult time finding a place. It took us well over 100 hours to find a place as we had to literally drive to each place...Craigslist does not work in small towns...and then we had to move our mountain of stuff into storage and the crappy little crackerbox we now live in.

Meaning half our shit, including tools used frequently, are nearly impossible to find. I did virtually all of the move myself under threat of a court order. I was unable to get any help from anyone, and Justin was in bed with a 100 degree fever for most of it. I did have some help, but we are just too far away from our friends for them to be able to help.

I don't understand how we were able to qualify for a $1500 a month house but not an $800 a month place. We were behind on the rent, but not by much. Had we not had to move, we would have eaily caught up and been fine by now, had we been able to get decent internet out there...that is a whole nother disaster.

We got the last of our stuff out of the old place about midnight the 11th. In the meantime, we have had to build a place to work, all with no money and trying to get other products shipped. The shop we moved to had 1 electrical outlet and no doors. It was a tweaker pad that had been remodeled, but not the tiny little workshop.

We just got the shop functional to any kind of useful extent 4 days ago.

In the meantime, we HAVE shipped over a dozen boxes during all this traumatic and horrible move...and Justin wrecked his car just 3 days ago, so he has been out of commission again, too. None of those people we have been able to get product too have any complaints, and while I know I look like a complete piece of shit right now, I swear to you guys, I am doing my best.

Wait, I forgot. I owe one dude some carpet...but even that we have been unable to cover shipping on. This thread and the shitty economy have completely stopped sales.

Please please be patient...my whole fucking world is a complete disaster right now. Not only is my company failing but I have taken a full time job to try to help fix the damage.

That means that not only will I be shoving my 49 year old, 230 pound body into dashboards and working on them for 10 hours a day, but it will mean that one way or another, we will be able to dig ourselves out of this mess.

To you guys I owe product to: even though I don't answer my phone or emails, it is only because I am so embarrassed to be failing so bad. I swear, I will find a way to make it straight for all of you. There is a mountain of product in my dining room, it will all get to its rightful owners just as soon as I can.

In the meantime, our bad press has completely crippled us. I am well aware that it is only these custom jobs that has been the issue, only special orders have been a problem, but that is not your worry. We will get your stuff to you, come hell or high water.

We just now, due to a brave soul I have promised I can build and ship an E3010 and amp rack out tomorrow do we have enough cash to make any porogress on any of these other shipments.

E30 Vert amp rack for Sean Sullivan (OP of this thread)
E3010 Touring which is nearly done (Rob)

Tuesday, Justin will need to be dealing with his legal issues regarding the wreck, but when I get home we will be launching into the E3010 "Beast", which we finally have perfected the engineering on. Robs JL Audio 10W7 and the box should be out of here by the end of the week.

Over the weekend, I hope to get my hands back on the 'vert model that will let us finish the complete system that we owe...the one with the $1000 amplifier that is sitting in my dining room...and then onto the square woofer version of the power top vert box.

None of this can happen if we cant keep the electricity on and a roof over our heads. We are very close to being able to work our way through all this, but we are hurting bad.

I had to run off to finish my new hire paperwork, but I am back on it again too.

My ex-in-laws are wealthy. Somehow, when they made $250K a year in the early 90's, their lawyer was good enough that when they took them from my ex, they got food stamps, medical care and welfare. The papers specifically state the intent was to get them to me...but I got fucked.

We will have your stuff and a couple others to UPS by 8:00, it is the hub, so we can drop late.

The crappy part is all of our shipping materials got wet...so first we get to deal with a leaky shop (NOT acceptable) and second, we have to go on a desperate scavenger hunt for cardboard!

We still 4 boxes headed out and should have 4 more by wednesday. If we can keep this up, we will have all of our backlog caught up in less than 2 weeks...come on good luck!

BTW, we will son have a run of E30 10" and 12" boxes ready to ship.

I still have to build a buttload of E30 8" amp racks, we have some of the E30LTW boxes already in stock.

E34 stuff is being built again soon, so guys, lets talk!

Hey guys...just thought Id pop in and put in my 2 cents.


Back in july me and Luke struck up a deal for him to take my 89 525i/5spd "parts car" in trade for a custom box, custom door pods for 6.5s and a full install in my e39. We were both happy with the deal. He came and picked up the car and he was off. In a week he transformed the car into what it is today. Its pretty awesome. But anyways...we had then discussed when the e39 would come to him for the install...delays from me due to not having all the components pushed it out into august...then when we were almost ready is when he had to rush and move out of his place.

Well shit...what to do now? Well I understood and had no problem (nor choice lol) waiting some more...I had temporary subs in my car to tide me over. Fast forward to October...Luke calls me up and we hash out a time for me to come up there. Last monday I drove up, stayed there 4 days and 3 nights. We ran into quite a few issues in box design and the sub not likeing what we had to work with. So we were at a standstill. Didnt know what to do as we were running out of time since I had to be back in portland for work thursday evening and he had the e46 guy coming up for some development. Wednesday we decided to build a temporary sealed box to at least get some bass in my car. That turned out to be easier said than done. The woofer Im using (mtx thunder 9500) is a beast and needs a ton of air space and mounting depth. So much the box will have a tripple baffle. We still ran out of time to finish it so I had to leave with no bass :(

Luke is still working on getting the woofer mounted in between getting caught up with you guys. I have faith he will come thru for you all, and me as well. Not sure when my car will get up to him for the big build that consists of a ton of custom fab work and no more spare tire well, but I know it will happen in a timely fashion. Keep your heads up guys..I know waiting so long sucks but I know he is truly trying his best and he will make right with everyone he owes!

I have been watching this thread for a while. Want to weigh in. As many of you know Guten is big supporter and stocker of Lukes products.
Small business is though, for e30 crowd its even more difficult. Will not make excuses for Luke's delay in getting parts out but I will say that he is owning up to it and doing what he can.
Before people wish for him to go out of business, call him names, etc...think hard and long. If he doesnt make these products who will? Again this is no excuse for the challenges he is having.
Do note he is being professional and making things right.
He is just the type of a person we need to support.

I have a luke 10in box and amp rack and couldn't be any happier. Yes there were issues with it shipping being delayed.A few extra weeks for the box and about 2 months for the rack.

But what people need to realize is that this isn't some factory with 20-30 people working in an assembly line. Its a few guys doing what they have a passion for.I dont know what the profit margin is for each box nor do I care. Each box is hand crafted. Not where panels are shipped in pre cut with glue together corners from china. Sometimes you get delayed and backordered. It happens to small and big companies all of the time. Shit happens. The only difference is when you have larger companies they have the staff and resources to keep working out of a shop or have the employees keep on. This is a man doing it from the confines of his home and wherever he can set up.

Just today on the way home from work I threw on some dubstep and shook the entire car. I smiled and was proud of how even one 10 hit so clear yet deep inside of the car. The fact to that his boxes fit so snug and not just hap hazardly into the car is another thing that surprises me.

Everybody goes through issues in life. It may not be an excuse on why there was no communication but Luke has always helped me with any and every question I had.

Think of you working on multiple projects some custom that dont work out as planned and take more time than planned.... then wind up only making 100-200 of profit for 4-5 full days of work and labor.

Curtis his work is on point. You will NOT be disappointed with the wait. I believe I may be the only one in the chicago area with a luke box. If you want to hear how the 10 sounds I will be willing to meet up and show you the quality of the box and audio.
