    WTB scam?

I posted a WTB ad for springs the other day and recieved a PM the next day from someone who said they have some and asked me to email him. I emailed, got a picture of the springs and he said I had to pay via Moneygram because his PayPal account was "dormant", whatever that means. A little research of the username shows he created his account on R3v 1 day after my ad, likely just to pm me.

I asked him about the situation and he insisted it was legit. What do you guys think?

Maybe a scam, maybe not. But, not worth the risk IMHO.

Yup scam. I have gotten them multiple times.
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

yeah i got the same one on my WTB. basically they copy pasted the items in the thread title even though there were a few more items in the thread itself. the capitalization and everything was exactly the same as the title. the two items in the title were pretty unrelated too so i doubt someone would have happened to have those 2 particular things and nothing else. it was a blatant copy paste job from a fresh account. i ain't buying that shit

This guy messaged me on e46fanatics after I posted a wanted ad for a hood. He sent me pictures of a hood, with a very similar message a few days ago. He offered to ship via FedEx/ups which seemed a little fishy. I reverse image searched and a thread came up from over a year ago. I sent him back an email stating this and he never responded. Definitely a scam, just wanted to let you guys know.

Thanks, and I can look up his IP. He was out of England but used USA as his location here. Also a little odd was his birthday. May 6 1947. Mines May 6 1979 lol. But he is banned and his IP is banned too.

I tried a reverse image search on the pic he sent me and sure enough he ripped it from a post by nrubenstein who sold the springs in 2010 and 2011 oddly enough
