    theeurodepot

Did a search on "theeurodepot" but not much came up. Has anybody here ordered an engine and/or tranny from this place before ?

How was your experience, how well was it packaged, and what condition were the contents in ?

I am looking at buying an engine/tranny from them.

I've never purchased from them, but I have heard good things from those who have.

I've bought small items from them before. I live close enough that I usually just drive up but I've had a few things shipped as well. In general you probably tend to pay a little more for used parts than you would on the boards but they have a pretty deep inventory of E30 parts.

The guy who owns it is pretty knowledgable as well and seems like a pretty stand-up guy. I believe his name is Joel...give them a call and ask some questions...shipping might be a b*tch to CA though.

Good to hear. They show s/h as covered in the price of the engine via ground shipping which is fine by me :)

I have bought few small items like ABS pumps etc. without any issues.
They shipped me a wrong caliper bracket. But, we worked out a refund without any hassle.

Very, very helpful with advice - when a sale wasn't even involved!! Nice guys.
            Cheers,

They are great... I guess my only advice when doing a phone / mail order is to make sure you are SUPER specific about exactly what you want...

they are a decent source for new OEM parts too, esp. fenders and body trim.

                TheEuroDepot - never again

The worst expirience with these guys. Called to check if they still have side mirror for e39 in silver. Payed the next day after getting confirmation, my card got charged right away. Week later, no tracking, no confirmations. Left 2 messages during business hours - never called me back. Sent a couple of emails - same story. Low and behold, a few weeks (NH to MA shipping!) mirror shows up and the outside cover (what I was buying it for) is scratched, not because of the shipping.

Euro Depot will NEVER get my business again!

                  + 1

Ordered $1,300 worth of swap parts.. 6 weeks later I get my final piece. They don't answer the phone, and no communication between the owners

I ordered a m3 rack, yea it did take longer than expected (NH to MA) but I was satisfied at the end. BTW most places bill you immediately and I think that should be expected.

Most places bill you once the item is shipped...
