    USEFUL INFORMATION ABOUT SELLER:

My officemate Benzo and I bought the last car he sold to us which was a white 4dr e30. There were many other problems that he did not disclose to us which we found out when we drove the car home and after taking it to a BMW specialist with over 25 years of experience working on BMWs/e30s and who is a father of one of our R3Vlimted members. The e30 passed the test drive, but as soon as we filled up the tank before heading home from OC to LA which was about a 90 mile distance, that is when we started to notice the problems of the e30 he sold to us. Many information was disclosed to us about what was "wrong" with the car from the get go, but such disclosure was information that I later notice drove us away from the real reason why he needed to sell the car. If you guys are interested in knowing what we went through, PM me and I'll let you know. Just beware if you decide to purchase an e30 from this seller. From our experience, he's not completely honest. Some examples of his dishonesty are:

    1. According to him, the engine that was replaced came out of a 1990 when the BMW specialist found out that the engine code clearly states it came from a 1987.
    2. He said the motor mounts were already replaced when the BMW specialist noticed that the motor mounts were shot that's why Benzo's belts came off and the engine over heated.
    3. When we filled up the tank on our way home, the e30 started pissing gas for over 30 minutes and probably wasted a couple gallons of gas, thus, we were stuck in the gas station waiting for the e30 to stop pissing gas at 2am because we didn't want to risk the fact that the e30 may explode if we started it. We called him and asked him about this issue. His response was that he didn't have any idea about the gas leak, however, did mention that he only put no more than $30 on his gas tank every time he fills up which to me it seems obvious that he was well aware of the gas leak, otherwise, why would you only put $30 on your gas tank...? Does one like to visit gas stations often?
    4. I asked the seller if it was involved in an accident and he clearly stated no, so I asked him why was the front valence misaligned and his response was because the car is low and the valence got hit a couple of times when going up driveways or what not. When we took it to the BMW specialist weeks later, the BMW specialist and I later noticed that the front bumper was misaligned and that it is obvious that the e30 was involved in a minor accident that not only shifted the front bumper, but also the valence, however, when you look directly at the car during the night, such misalignment is not noticeable which is why we didn't notice it the night we purchased the e30.
