    seller/buyer

Yea, I'm going off what I read here.

You're saying that the paypal payment came with the confirmed address posted and he removed it? Then, he chose a different address at random (1 of 5 at that?) To me that doesn't seem likely.

I have a similar situation with Ebay.

After moving, I updated my address with ebay. When you check it in "my ebay" my new address shows. When I purchased an item, the notice was sent to the seller (for some reason) my old address was sent. Luckily I noticed this and I was able to send the correct address to the seller.

To this day, I still review the address that is sent to the seller.

It doen't matter at this point. I would buy or sell from either of you. I would just be sure to confirm that all the info is correct.

Andre, I have had no luck locating any response from you with a screen shot of the paypal account showing my old address as confirmed (or any other screen shot), though I would rather you not post it in the public forum, I would like it if you can send it to me in a PM. If what you say is true, I'll chock it up to bad luck and move on. I will post in this thread when I see the screen shot and appoligize for the whole mess. Seems as though we are not the only people this has happened to on paypal, so I guess we should both be more carful in the future.

Update: Andre is a man of his word, and sent me the screen shot showing that Paypal, for some reason, shows my old address as confirmed. When I log into my account, it shows my current address as confirmed, so it seems this issue needs to be taken up with Paypal. Below is the PM I sent Andre.

Andre, I owe you an apoligy. I don't understand why it's showing that address anymore as it shows my current address when I log in. It now seems I need to take this issue to Paypal. I'm very sorry for the confussion, as this was obviously not your fault. I would reccomend you as a seller to anyone on these boards, and I will post this message to clear up any doubt. Again, sorry for this whole mess.

I haven't read the whole thing, it seems to be bad communication on both sides.

Buyer should have been clear and confirm the shipping info again, Seller should not have assumed, if he had paid more attn he could have notice the diffference in address sent to him

This is a poor excuse, it is not the buyers fault you are selling many items and can't keep track of your dealings.

If I were selling just one item or something, it would be easier to sort this out. But when I'm shipping out between 5 and 20 parts PER DAY, I can't really catch other people's little mistakes like not listing their correct address.

This is the reason i make it a point to always confirm and make sure everything is clear when dealing online. I copy everything into my paypal payment so its recorded.

                  Glad it's working out.
That's great that it's all tech issues and not people cheating each other. I hope paypal fixes that. Sorry you both had to lose out in the end though.

From my experience with paypal and having 3 different ship to address's on there, I do know you have to select which one you would like to use as defualt and which ever one is selected is the only one the receiver of the payment will get. Regardless of however many you have listed with them. The payment receiver has no other way to see any other ship to address's listed on your account with paypal.

I have read all posts and I side with the seller. When I buy something from ebay or if I use paypal to pay for something I always put my address in the comments section before I click pay. It is the buyers fault for not keeping there address up to date.

also; I would buy a small Child from ColdAccord! He is a good seller, he also is from Buffalo so that right there makes him bad ass!

The issue was not with Cold or myself, it turned out Paypal screwed up. When I would log in it would show me my current address, and when Andre would log in it still showed my old address. I'm currently working with Paypal to get a refund of the remaining balance, and they fixed my account to show correctly. I have seen from postings on other boards that this is not uncommom, so todays lesson is verify the address whether you are the buyer or seller.

This is what I consider a 50/50 fault.

                          - The buyer should have updated his address in Paypal.

                          BUT

                          - The seller should not have shipped to an unconfirmed address (EVER)

The buyer did pay the cost of shipping which includes the cost of insuring the packages. At that point it is the responsibility of the SELLER to purchase the shipping insurance and keep up with all receipts and information needed to claim insurance if needed.

Since you lost the receipt with the insurance info needed to give the buyer a full refund you should split the $55.

Please read the whole thread, It was not either of our faults as Paypal was showing different information to each of us. Paypal is to blame and I am persuing them for the remaining $55.
