    E30 325i/325e question

I'm looking to get a 325i e30 to work on but I can't seem to find the specific type of e30 I'm looking for. My problem is that I'm looking for a manual 325i coupe not convertible but all the 325i cars are either convertible, auto or just has insane amount of miles on the engine. So my idea is to get a cheap 325 e and swap the motor to a 325i. Now onto my question:
Will a 325i motor fit perfectly into the motor mounts of a 325e engined e30? If so will I need to change any parts of the car like the transmission to support the new engine?

I'm new to working on motors and engine swaps, or any big motor mod so any knowledge that I should know I would really appreciate the input.
    Thank you

    Yes, to a certain extent.

The motor/trans/mounts and hoses and stuff are all easy to swap. There is early and late cooling systems, they have different hoses, radiators and water pumps, but AFAIK, all ETAs used the early version. No matter, just make sure all the bits are correct. If you decide to go late model you will need to fabricate a mount for the coolant tank, but its not a big deal.

The wiring changes a bit from year to year, but its all pretty well documented here on R3V.

One hassle might be the differential ratio, ETAs typically come with a 2.93 while the 2.5 prefers to spin higher, so they typically came with a 3.73.

All in all, as long as you have pretty much all of the motor, its no big deal.

    Good luck!
