Hello all! before you jump on me for starting a new thread on the topic when there is SO MUCH literature already out there, just know that I have done the reading and already have a parts list compiled (I am equally irritated with those starting threads asking for a full parts list claiming that they cant find any already posted
).
I'm new to the S50 discussion so there are some small and very specific questions that I keep coming across. My hope is that as I make this build happen, I can come to you guys for help on the little stuff!
The first thing that I'm curious about is whether or not this brand new low temp thermostat I bought for my M20 before I decided to swap will work on the S50?
here's a little about my build/parts list i have so far... if you've done this swap before, maybe you can let me know if there's something that wont work or that I'm missing...
S50 OBD1 with silver label DME
318i ecu mount
AKG harness adapter
EWS delete chip
260 trans
custom trans bracket and mounts
AKG motor mounts
stock brake booster just moved over a touch
e34 oil pan, oil level sensor, oil pickup tube, dipstick/tube
e34 throttle cable
S50 coolant hoses with my 90' 325i racing radiator and expansion tank
custom temp sensor from market motorworks
ebay headers and idk what exhaust to run from there...
going to try to run my e30 steering rack... may do the e36.
