Should have been more clear.. I was told to leave the in-tank and just replace the in-line.. and that's what I'm looking for..an in-line 255 walboro.. Thanks.

maybe talk a little bit about your setup...what in-line? and btw all them walbro's have the same flow.. there's like two different ones, a higher flow and higher pressure and a base.. housing does change. any one of em should work.

Your car SHOULD only have an intake pump. The cutoff between the two pump setup to the one pump setup was sometime in 87. If you don't know for sure, look under the car in front of the drivers side rear wheel to see if you have a pump under there.

If I were you I wouldn't buy the pump from ebay. There have been a lot of fake walboro's going around now. Try to find a reputable walboro dealer and purchase one from them. It's not worth risking your motor if the "walboro" were to begin failing.

My set-up is in my sig..All 255 I see are for in-tank application...The one I want to replace is the one next to the rear left wheel atop of the fuel filter..I'm using the stock fuel pump and it runs lean on high boost.

I thought the one by the fuel filter is just the sender? no? You have a 88 there should only be one pump by the gas filler side.

It is a fuel pump and a sending unit.

Before I ask, I check on ebay - you basically will find there everything these days and compare prices, good deals!
