Oil pan question

E34 oil pan has a leak coming out of this part. Sorry I'm new to working on these, but what is this part that's bolted to the bottom of the oil pan? Oil pickup? I assume there is a gasket or o-ring in there that needs to be replaced. Thanks!

oil level sensor. Realoem should be able to give you the part number if you know what the oil pan is out of.
