Alternator signal wire plug 1-2-3?

    Alternator signal wire plug 1-2-3?

    Ive been searching for about an hour...and i know someone has asked this before.

    92 325is(m50) engine - Just got done looking at the wiring diagrams but doesent help..surprise

    The alternator plug(3 wire) was cut off before i received the engine. I just bought a new plug. Which pin do i connect the signal wire to, its marked on the plug 1 2 or 3??

          Blue wire to blue wire.

              The new altenator plug has 3 wires coming out of it but all 3 wires are colored white/black. # 1 2 or 3 on plug.

              The engine side there is a blue signal wire..but i dont know which of the 3 wires to connect blue signal wire to.

              The schematic shows the blue signal wire connected to the alternator, but it doesent specify which pin (1,2,3) it is entering with.
