Complete loss of power when attempting to crank motor

    Hello !
So i’m getting ready to start my m52 swapped e30 and im having a strange issue.
as soon as i attempt to start the car, the starter clicks and all power is lost (no lights ect); after 5-10 mins of battery disconnected the car comes back to life and does the same thing when starting.
Some diag/things ive done to narrow it down:
i have neutral safety switch jumped; car was originally auto
i have the ground strap connecting motor mount to chassis; using driver side motor mount between power steering reservoir and it goes to pre tapped hole under brake booster.
i have all three power wires connected to the main lug on distribution block (nothing goes to fusable link)
when car looses complete power, there is not even voltage to the lug at the distribution block.

Please help i’m really stumped. thank you in advance !

UPDATE: there is now power at the distribution block; idk i must’ve not been grounding the other meter terminal
