    S50 Stock chip for 506

    Hi,
Currently in the process to CA Bar my S50 swap in my e30 318is. Does anyone know where I can get a stock 1995 m3 chip for a 506 ecu? Currently have an Authority performance chip that the referee says is not carb legal for a 95 m3.
    Thanks

I thought I read that they wanted some kind of evidence that the motor and ecu were purchased together from a CA car. Has that been your experience? Or where you able to piece it together? How has the process been?

Experience has been okay. They didn’t ask if the motor and ecu were purchased from a CA car. Passed the virtual appointment, so now I just have the in-person inspection. For the virtual, I pieced everything together but had trouble with the airbox due to the throttle temp sensor (needed a stock airbox so another member gave me a tip of getting a e30 325i box and modifying it) and ecu chip (got a dinan chip carb legal).

virtual asked for the following pictures:
      • Vehicle registration
      • Donor vehicle VIN number (if available)*vehicle engine came out of
      • Non-OBDII engine changes require the consumer to identify the engine and ECU is correct for the donor vehicle.
      • The check engine light (service engine soon, Malfunction indicator lamp) must be functional and operating per the specifications of the donor vehicle.
      • Pictures of engine bay and all engine components showing(air cleaners, intake manifold, vacuum lines, sensors and switches, etc..)
      • Evaporative system components (evap canister, vent valve, purge valve, lines,etc...)
      • Correct Hood must be installed on vehicle per OEM specifications.
      • Exhaust must match the donor vehicle configuration.
      • All non-OEM configurations or aftermarket components installed must adhere to B.A.R.’s Aftermarket Parts Verification Guidelines located in the Smog Check Reference Guide. Aftermarket parts require verification of the E.O. number by the Virtual referee. (Parts list Required

authority chip is the stock chip with maps tweaked, then why did you tell BAR referee that you got a chip in the ECU that was manipulated? There is no other way that they can tell it is not stock unless you tell them LOL
