This is my first post, so go easy on me :) I bought my E30 with M50 engine swap from a friend a day before I had to go to work and am now with the help of my son who is supplying me photos , trying to best plan what I can take home with me to get a head start on it, for what will likely be a short turn around before I have to go off to work again. Any advice here would be much appreciated.
So the indicators on the on the top rear view mirror show that the oil and water temp are high on the warning lights. Car runs smoothly good oil and water level, with no smoking and the likes. Temp also runs a little high on the dashboard if driving to slowly or in traffic. I was aware of this when I bought it. I will start with the usual of changing out the impellor to a metal one, all sensors, belts , hoses etc.... My son reported that the fan comes on when the engine starts ? Guessing it has been hard wired in. To be confirmed.
I will save brake and suspension upgrade and recommended (low key ) engine mods for another thread or can add here if you like and whilst I am in shopping mode.
water pump ( metal impellor )
all belts ( maybe full accessory belt kit to include rollers /pulleys etc)
Hose kit ( throttle and radiator )
Fan & clutch kit
thermostat and housing (metal one)
Idle control valve
Intake air sensor
Temp coolant sensor
Temp oil sensor
Air filter x 2
Oil filter x 2
Set of ignition coil
Set of spark plugs (NGK or Bosch)
Set Injector o ring

- Can anyone tell from my attached photo if it is an M50 fan/rad end I have or an E30 ? ( disregard the arrows , thats for my son. I want to know if fan is front or back )
