    Help to identify cables´.

    Hi iam on to doing my m50 swap but i need some help to know were to connect these cables

    Question1: Where schould i connect this one? put a battery shoe on it and
    connect to +?




    Question 2: And these two were do i connect them?



    Question 3: Is these apart from starter cable and the round plug all i need to connect to get it running?

    The top one used to go to the E36 Fusebox for body power. Tape it and hide it. I hid mine in the covering.

    The bottom two I bet are ground a power. Pull back the covering.

      Ok thanks the engine is from a e34 but if i tape that cable i only have one power and ground to connect it feels like it should be moore. And i dont have a battery shoe on any cables

        Should just be a positive battery connection coming from the starter, that's it. The negative terminal is just grounded to the frame.

          there needs to be a power cable from battery to fuse box, either the original e30 one (seperate from m20 harness) or the M5x one which is in the harness.....

          for your question 2 for my m50 one is a ground the other is the batt connection, other end of wire from your pic 1.

            Ok thanks! if i pull back the covering on the two black cables how can i tell wich is + And -?

              i can almost guarantee both are grounds (strut grounds)

              pull/cut insulation. If brown = ground. If red = +12v. they won't be any other color.
