How does the DME know if the knock sensor is there or not? Is there a reference voltage that it sends to the sensors or some other type of feedback?
On my S52 OBD1 swap, both sensors show a common ground, with each having it's own input location to the DME. The DME says the rear sensor is having a problem, with the CEL coming on. It's a new sensor, less than 500 miles since I got it running.
Before I go out an buy another one I'd like to see if there are any other things to check...
