    Help re: Brake Vacuum Line

How are you guys hooking up your vacuum line for the brakes? Is it a straight line from the booster to intake manifold or do I need to install “no return line” check valve n there?

    Thanks!

It works for me, but it seems that I really have to stand on the brakes to make the car stop. My other E30 (stock) apears to have more braking power.

use the original line with check valve in it. I only had to trim mine slightly to get it to fit to the intake manifold

If you're using the 320 booster, then that's pretty much how they're going to be. The 320 booster is half the size, giving you have the amount of brake assist. I solved this by routing a vacuum reserve canister from Summit in between the booster and the intake manifold to get stock brake feel back.

Yes, I am running the 320 brake booster. That makes sense why I only have half the braking power. Thanks for the info.

            Is this the one?

            Thanks for the info.

^ That one would work, but it's a little expensive. I just got the basic one, and it works fucking great!

I'm using the original e30 brake booster. And I have the original check valve. And since I have it, I thought I'd just use it. It has 2 ports to the m20 intake manifold and 1 port to the brake booster. I was thinking of plugging one of the ports to the intake manifold and be done with it. But it turns out that one port flows more air and the other flows less. Anyone have an idea which port I should use?

The inline port (bottom) flows less air and the top port flows more.
