    E34 throttle cable

I am using the E34 throttle cable with my swap. The problem is the ix booster is so close to the grommet under the throttle body that the cable has to be at a 90deg angle to clear the booster. The cable is looping all over the place to get from the firewall to the throttle body and you can feel it in the pedal its very hard to press down.

I dont have any feedback on this as I used an e21 booster, but I am using the e34 m50 cable and it curves away and down from the booster, then loops down and over to the firewall. Zero issues. Maybe I will snap a pic and see what is different, of maybe you could include one.

I have an e36 cable and it does the same thing except without feedback to the pedal. I was told the e36 cable would work but its a bit long and leaves some slack in the line that I don't like. I just ordered my e34 cable, I will be installing it this weekend I will take pics of my install and post the results. I am guessing your cable might be binding how old is it? Maybe lube that thing?

do you have the spacer of the IX booster? i have the same setup, no spacer though. my cable goes inbetween the brake resevoir and MC, then the 90degree end points up and finall bolts to an obdII throttle body. works great, feels great! except the wire broke a couple days ago slamming on the throttle in between gears drifting like i usually do...o well, i'll just have to get anotherone..

you have the spacer ANd you have an OBDI throttle body. try rerouting the throttle cable (ie unhook from the TB and move it elsewhere) it shouln't be hard unless the throttle body itself is hard to open.
