    Road speed signal 1989 325is?

I have read a few conflicting reports of where I pick up the road speed signal for my S50 Swap into my 89 325is. Can anyone tell me for sure where to get the signal?

Long shot here (I don't know what I'm talking about) but I think the signal comes from where the differential is at. There is a sensor connected to the casing which I believe sends the signal to the dme then to the cluster.

It does likely come from the diff but I beleive you can pick it up somwhere on the front end of the car.
