What do i need to do to get the wiring harness plug to the engine to fit the older harness to the body of the m20? splicing, adapter, what? also the battery is set up different.....M20 in the front..m50 under the seat in the rear!!Help!!

E34 m20 2.5 to m50 2.5 swap Question

So you have a E34 with a 2.5 that you are swapping to a M50 2.5.
Is the M20 connector square or round.
From there you can decide the adapter.
You are going to have a distribution block no matter what. If you can easily move the battery its nice to have it out of the engine bay.....Past Car : E30 S50 6 Speed 5 Lug 3.73
Current : Z3 S50 OBD2 (Smog Legal) 6 Speed BBS RN Dual Ear Diff

No, you dont have to rip anything out.
You need to
A) Find / Make an adapter for your motor to chassis. I would make it if you have some electrical skills. If not, try buying one from a member who is making them.
B)Figure out the battery situation. You should be able to just run some wires off of it, A lot of the hookups are going to be to the fuseable link and the B+Past Car : E30 S50 6 Speed 5 Lug 3.73
