I thought you used e36 motor arms with e34 mounts.

+1414332 to the more I read the more I get confused.

Whoa, I read that you need E28 535i mounts.

And one passenger and one driver works for the S50.
      My previous build (currently E30-less)

The green ones I have seen on several cars + a little shimming maybe.

x2, and no shims. I also have the Turner style reinforcement kit installed with a lil more beef, and no issues. 2 green drivers side mounts and e36 arms ftw.

Doesn't really matter as long as you get e28 m5 mounts.

Im running m5 pass/driver side mounts with no shims the m5 drivers side mount is a little taller than the pass. Side mount. I didn't even shave the fins on my intake manifold with an e21 booster.

Actually, the cylinder mounts work just fine. I've used them on two cars now. Dropped right in to the outer holes. No shimming needed.

I had both sets 535i and e28 m5 at one time. Dimensionally the studs are positioned the same.

You could buy them from many places. I've used BMA Auto parts for years.

I'm mostly wondering what's the cheapest...

                                sand junkyard.

I've honestly never bought parts that weren't used from CL or from Autobahn so I haven't ever looked for parts suppliers. Time to start.
