    e36 CIA on an e30?

Is it possible to use one of the long tube CIA's from an e36 on an e30? I searched here and only got 2 hits on CIA. If not does anyone know of a 3.5 CIA system thats is cali/CARB legal that fits in an e30?

You just can't change the elbow if you want to pass visual. If Dinan makes a CAi it would be Carb aproved

Just get it and if you have to modify it to make it work you'll still have a carb sticker.

Damn i was about to buy one untill i saw this:

              * ECIS Euro HFM Kit is not CARB Certified due to the custom computer chip and larger euro mass air flow meter.

Well they won't know what you do to the MAF as long as it looks OEM. But if the elbow doesn't look oem you'll probably get shit on visual.

Just try to keep the MAF back looking facorty BMW

That's the best advice I can give you.

You can run something like this and tuck the filter under the wheel well.

I am the guy selling the early dinan setup. Sorry I could not find the part#. I am pretty sure if you ran a factory 3.5 MAF with a setup like the Dinan one where they can not see the filter they would not have a clue. The only problem is getting the 4 inch hole saw out to drop the filter under the front panel behind the headlights. By the way I price dropped it to $140 shipped.

All you need it a CARB sticker on any K&N and you'll be fine.

Does the AEM have a CARB EO sticker?

Your most likely not going to find a 3.5 inch air filter with a CARB EO number BC that mean you have a larger MAF and the MAF isn't CARB EO certified.
