everytime i open my hood after driving its very hot by my intake so im thinking about making my own heat shield what do yyou guys think? also i was thinking of buying a universal bendable intake boot and conect it to my alternator and run it to a break air duct.

Yes, a heatshield will help.

I'd rather have my brake ducts used to duct air to my brakes, not my alternator.
