Oil cooler set up on M/S 50 and M/S 52

For those of you running 24v engines in hot climates, have you found the need to run an oil cooler set up? I suppose it would make more sense on a tracked car or one with FI.

In traffic and hot running conditions, my oil temp sometimes gets close to 100 deg C and was wondering if an oil cooler might help any. The car is mainly DD.

Vac oil filer housings cost $$$ as do new Euro and S54 OFH. Do the VPD caps set up work just as efficiently?

Hell, over the last week, cruising in (according to the OBC) 101-102* heat, my oil temps only get up to about 160 or so. Now, stop and go with that heat and I get fucked. Water temps start to get fairly high and the oil temps jump up to about 210.

$150? I guess thats not so bad. I need one for my bewsted car badly. It says it has ports for oil pressure and such like that but it would be so cluttered on top of the filter housing like that.

        Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!
