Will a stock E30 auto tranny fit an M50?

So my sisters timing belt broke on her car, and 9 out of 12 valves were bent. So much for telling her to have the maintenance done

I told her I could swap in a M50 like I did for a friends car, but I wasnt sure if I could get the tranny to work right since it needs to be twisted for a manual at least. Also what would the computer do about controlling the shift points?

Never left an automatic in a car before so just wondering if anyone else had done it or if it was just too big of a hassle.

Alternatively, would the auto out of an E34 work?

    Just looking for some ideas.

    Thanks

I think it's against the law to put an m50 in an e30 while keeping the automatic transmission. You won't pass inspection!

Wish I could help you with a more serious answer, but I dont see why the e34 tranny wouldnt work at the very least. I bet at least 1 person on here has done it.
