M50 Throttle Body Vacuum hose ?

Hi all, I have been lurking for a while, doing research and trying to pull the trigger on my own S52 swap... i am finally there...

(will be updating this build thread over at e30tech with the ixer's: <http://e30tech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=78938>)

Anyways I have a question that I cant seem to find posted anywhere or on realoem parts diagrams. Where do the two hoses with green masking tape go on the M50 TB?

I would have looked on an early car already in the junk yard... but the cars are already picked-thin...

thanks, hope everyone had a good weekend.

The one that starts on the left and crosses over to the right in the picture goes to the charcoal canister........not sure about the other as mine doesn't have that (92 n/v e36)

Left (Next to throttle cable bracket) - Evap Canister

Right - Crank Case breather or even traction control

BTW: that isn't a m50 throttle body, it is either a m52/s52 with traction control.

It looks like my throttle body, which is a M50tu. My engine is out of a 1995 525i, it does have traction control. The bigger one goes to the front of the tracktion control trottle body plate. Since you aren't using traction control when you buy a new intake "boot" there will be two holes in it... One for the idle control valve, and one for the crankcase ventalition hose. I just odered one for a 1994 325i. It had both the holes in it.

Yes the intake manifold and TB came out of an early 5 series... i can set up the charcoal canister from the E30 and then cap off the traction control port. I'll check realoem again for the 5 series to make sure nothing else is different from an E36.

          thanks guys.
