Was the 2.088 your best 60ft? Do you think you could get it lower? What gear ratio are you running?

I'm adding a 2nd Bosch 044 pump to feed it more fuel (E85) then off to the 1/4 mile with the slicks. I'll let you know how it goes.Need a Turbo manifold? We have them in stock- Click here---> http://rapidspoolindustries.com/

ah, 15" wheel, 3.73's with a 5 speed? I would imagine its difficult to get out of the whole even though a 2.088 is really not that bad especially for your first time at the track with the car. I have seen the e36, e39 and e46 chassis do far worse with similar whp.
I bet you could still get it a bit lower with the current tires but DR's are sketchy and really help break things like axles. E85, yikes.... theirs a good bit more power.
Please keep me informed, I am very interested in seeing how much quicker you can go. Oh what size slicks are you going with?

Oh, how I love the know-it-alls... Do you remember what they say about opinions?
First off, for your information, I am NOT going turbo unless I fail to reach my power goals with the supercharger and after I do an assessment. This has been clearly stated. The car is not being all torn apart, its getting a headgasket, cams and a head installed.
The S52 is going in regardless of SC or TC since I will be building a forged bottom end to ensure engine longevity. This has been clearly stated yet again BTW. I guess you must have missed that, I understand... it happens when your trying to be an ass for no reason.
Have fun with your lulz, really... have fun.
I would love to see more pics of your build BTW because from what I have seen so far, you have no room to LOL about anything pal.Comment

I have an o-ringed head and the S52 block will have receiving grooves as well. I am trying to go with the stock S52 bore or slightly over depending on cylinder condition.
Thanks for the post.
if you are going to build a bottom end, i suggest staying with either a 84.5mm or 85mm bore. this will help keep more material between the cylinders and enable the headgasket to have more surface area for sealing. most built, high horsepower, boosted engines are done this way. s50/52 guys tend to go through headgaskets alot faster.Turbo E30

I am building the S52 so.... I cannot go with a M50 bore. With proper compression ratio and O-ringing and assembly the head gasket will be fine. Either way, i am going to be dropping a good amount of money on the build and I plan on getting a good head gasket.
If assembled right you can avoid the head gasket aggravation. If you look at all the failed S5X head gaskets, many were installed using the old APR studs with incorrect torque specs and or improper installation procedures. Are their other reasons? Sure but... many guys are running over bored S5x's making huge power without any head gasket issues.
Remember a few years or even months ago it was believe you could not o-ring an s52 which has now changed.
Going turbo and or building the S52 is a good ways away....
