Oil cooler and engine harness questions

Are you guys running the stock oil cooler with the swap? I don't see any provisions on the dohc motor for the cooler.

I'm just getting into tearing out my m20. I had anticipated the engine harness being plugged in under the hood and using the "adapter" to plug in the s50 harness. After closer inspection, it seems I'll be removing the harness all the way past the firewall up to the ecu. Am I right with this?

Yes, you will need to unplug at the ECU (and the little wires coming off harness near the ECU connector) and push the whole thing trough into the engine compartment.

no oil cooler from the factory on either the m50 or s5x engines. You can add one but....unless it is an all out track car there shouldn't be any need too.

Drop blunt a line and get a euro oil filter which has the provision for a oil cooler. VAC sells adapter plates for the top of the housing.
