Road speed signal help needed

I am just getting ready to wrap up my harness and I want to make sure the info I have is correct. I was told that in my 1989 325is e30 that I could get road speed signal from the c101. Is this correct or do I need to get it from inside of the glovebox?

1988 and newer have it built into the c101. I traced the wires all they way back.

Look for a blue/yellow wire on the c101,should be number 14

If you cant find it there (it is supposed to be there, its the 87 and earlier cars that didnt) you can tap into the wire on the back of the cluster that is used for cruise control, plugged into the green connector behind the speedo.
