Help!!!!!! can't get motor mounted M50

I have a euro 90 325i and have a euro m50 that I can't get to line up at all. We have a screw driver inthe DS motor mount holes to hole it and called it a night. The pass side motor mount is about 3 inches too far forward and the head is on the firewall. The motor still needs to be tilted forward but we couldn't push it back that way. I am so stuck have very limited time tomorrow and then I am gone for a month. I just want to have this thing mounted. The car is on a lift with cherry picker and 2 floor jacks.

This is what I have:

e34 M50
e36 motor mount arms euro
Getrag 260
87-88 535i mounts ( these are not green)




Pass side mount, the angle on these doesn't look right

I think your mount arms are upside down. But I cant really tell from the pictures. Take some pictures of the mount arms and motor mounts.

I just googled it, found a pic and you beat me to it. I had another mechanic with me too and we spent 2 hours putting this in. They are upside down. Now I feel like an idiot. Can I use the e34 manifolds and e36 down pipes? I read somewhere that the e36 cats fit so I might go that route.

Yeah somthing looked alittle off to me. If you are talking about the e34 intake manifold then yes you can and the e36 down pipes will work I think.

I meant e34 down pipes. But now that I know the mounts were upside down that explains everything. The e34 exhause manifld was hitting the motor mount and the firewall. I just don't want to get headers since I have to sell it in 6 months anyways.

Yeah I really dont know sence I used SS rep headers.

the fronts are the same but the rear is about 2 in shorter
also part# on real oem are same for the fronts and the rears are not the same

So If I am going to get e36 cats then use e36 mainifolds that are not the same to e34. I am going to look it up on real oem now. LMK when you figure out that adapter for my friend.
