You cannot use OBD2 EMS. Technically, it could be possible with a lot of electrical work and some mechanical work, but for someone who is asking these types of questions, it is probably not a swap for you.

Racing headers would be fine. The E36 Ebay headers are commonly used on these swaps.

You will need a NonVanos valve cover, E36 motor mount ARMS, E28 535i rubber engine MOUNTS, and the E34 M50 525i oil pan, pickup, dipstick tube, and dipstick.

wat DME do i use since i have the Getrag manual,and i got a friend taht would sell me his M5 or M3 stock cat back but would it sound shitty, its off a S62 and the other off of a S54

This to me indicates you really haven't done your research. However, you should be looking for a 1992 325i engine wiring harness and DME (402 or 403).

For an exhaust, you will probably have a difficult time fitting the S54 or S62 exhaust systems without serious modification. You are better off starting from scratch, or finding an exhaust from an E36.

Just what I was thinking. A 3.0 or 3.2 with Schrick street cams hardly moves the powerband up, certainly nothing in common with an S42 with a Hollinger behind it.

E34 Pan
Stock computer and harness.
G260 box with 260 flywheel clutch and starter. ALl the matching stuff for the TOB also.

Use an e36 M3 midpipe and exhaust with custom down pipes. If cut the muffler open you can cut out the glass packs and make sound a lot better.
