Got it running, couple more issues.

The motor starts right up, idles solidly and seems to run good. A quick test drive around the neighborhood.....I made a small stab at the throttle, while going straight, in 1st gear about 3k and was greeted with two nice black marks and sliding ass end, so the motor seems to be running strong.

    1. Brake pedal is soft, I'm sure it just needs to be bled again since all 4 calipers are new as well as the master cylinder. However, when at a stop and pressing the brake pedal it seems as though the motor reacts with a slight dip in RPMs when the pedal is pushed. Some sort of weird vacuum issue?

    2. The car seems to be burning A LOT of oil. I realize it hasn't ran in a long time, but still. I'm running 10-40 Royal Purple. I'm thinking the PCV is gunked up, and I've read that a bad PDV can cause excessive oil consumption.

I'm really hoping it isn't worn rings/valve guides, but the motor seems to be running really well for that.

It's going to the shop on Tuesday for a compression test and a few other things.

Praying to god the engine isn't tired, the salvage has said they would warranty any problems, but I don't want to fuck with this headache again.

It will take some running to get everything heated and ungunked up. How long did the s52 sit for from when it last ran until you?

I've had it since the first week of March, so I'm guessing around one year since it's ran. We let it get up to operating temp, then I drove it about .6 miles arond the neighborhood.

Was running great, but their is a coolant leak I'm going to let the shop deal with.

So far it ran about 20 minutes or so today.

Farbin, any thoughts on the RPM dip when the brake pedal is depressed? I did just remember I don't have the little check/one-way valve between the booster and the manifold.

          Anybody got one?

I would think a weak vacuum assist would make the pedal stiff, not soft?

I'm running one with the 320 booster, without it the pedal feel was HORRIBLE ans I had no brake assist.

My pedal felt really soft before I put in the vacuum reserve canister.

Unplugged the PCV, started the car up, just a few faint whiffs of blue smoke.

Going to order the new coolant hose, PCV, O2 sensor and try to button it up this week.

Where does the PCV go in the 24v's? Is it the thing in the top right of the valve cover?
