I've Got Some Specific Questions (With Pics)

1)underside of intake mani: just wondering the name/function for electrical port and hose?

2)I don't need coolant running though my tb. I plan to leave it like this - any problems? The third nipple/hose is for? It slips my mind now that I'm away from the car.

3)Why 2 coolant sensors? The hose is also where I looped from the spyder hose and eliminated the air box heating probe. seem ok?

4)This long ass hose coming off of the spyder hose just goes to coolant overflow tank, correct? Is the e36 tank on the other side of the bay or something?

5)this cable from the e36 harness looks like it should power the fusebox. (Already got the starter cable hooked up) Is it ok to just eliminate this one and use the existing e30 fuse box power supply? The e30 cable is already neatly attached to the fuse box and the power supply block.

I could sift through 50 partially relevant threads but I'd rather get some direct feedback. thanks guys.

1.) MAP sensor, and FPR line.

2.) You may need to junction the lines to keep the OEM designed cooling pathways working. (edit: I see the splice maneuver in #3)

3.) You pull the one in the middle of the pic and replace with your e30 gauge based one.

    4.)...

    5.)...

You need the brown top single wire temp sensor that's on the m20 thermostat housing area.

It gets wired somewhere into the harness... someone else can fill in that part.

no idea how I overlooked this. do I need to cut up an m20 harness to get this? any links or further info?
          thanks

no you just need the brown m20 sensor, the e36 plug plugs right in. that coolant line off the spider hose goes to the reservoir, the way you have the coolant lines routed is fine, i have mine the same way, and either cut that wire out of the harness or add it to the starter lug. and the other port on the bottom of the tb is for the evap valve.

1)underside of intake mani: just wondering the name/function for electrical port and hose?

              FPR vacuum hose
Intake air temp sensor (NOT map)

2)I don't need coolant running though my tb. I plan to leave it like this - any problems? The third nipple/hose is for? It slips my mind now that I'm away from the car.

              no problems
third nipple is for charcol cannistor

3)Why 2 coolant sensors? The hose is also where I looped from the spyder hose and eliminated the air box heating probe. seem ok?
one senor is for gauge cluster one is for ecu
you can either loop it with the spyder hose or use an e30 spyder hose and put a plug in the head.

4)This long ass hose coming off of the spyder hose just goes to coolant overflow tank, correct? Is the e36 tank on the other side of the bay or something?
yep to the expansion tank it is intergal to the radiator and on the passenger (US) side of the car on e36s

5)this cable from the e36 harness looks like it should power the fusebox.
it does on e36s cut it at the splice and wrap it up tight

no reason to delete the canister, but if you do/did - just plug/cap the nipple.

thanks. Theres too much crap in that area of my engine bay - thats the reason for delete.

Sorry but wrong. Leaving it capped off would still leave the question, "What should I do with the evap canister hard line?" Yes you could leave it hanging and have the fumes built up from the gas tank evaporate into the environment but why leave it open?

Just run the hose from the tb to the evap sensor and connect that to the hard line. So essentially its connected just without the canister. Many people have driven it like this to no detrimental effects. I have even passed regular smog with it like this.

Fair enough, but he did ask what to do with the tb, not the hard line. I was assuming he already took care of the hard line in some way. Motor would have run perfectly fine with the tb capped off.

Anyone have a part number for the brown m20 coolant temp sensor?

Also, which hose to use for the rear of cylinder head- from bottom heater tube to rear of head. I belive it is the e30 one, but my 318is one doesn't work. One from a 325i?

I still need a brake booster- wanted a 2002 to modify or a 944 but can't get a new one anywhere, and junkyards want $150+ for used rusty ones. Pelican is a no go also. Ideas?

Lastly, the plastic connector tube is missing from my spider hose that goes to the expansion tank...has anyone run into this? I REALLY don't want to spend $93 on a new spider hose for that plastic piece...
