Cylinder head coolant inlet...am i missing a piece?

Real oem shows a need for a hose #5. I just ordered it from the dealer, but I assumed the actual one would look different from the real oem one. Upon further investigation on pelican parts... it seems as if the real oem picture is pretty accuarate.

I don't see how the hose can fit into the head. There is no turn or bend in it, and if it were able to just pop right in - it would go straight into the firewall. Am I missing a connector or not seeing where exactly this hose is supposed to attach to the head?

    Thanks

I think you may need parts 3 and 4:

Or are you referring to something else? From your post it almost sounds like you recieved a quick-release fitted hose.

oohhh emmm fffuckingg geee. wow. There is no way I took that off before sending the head to VAC, and of course it's just one more fucking thing they took off without replacing (the double switch coolant sensor, plug, and coolant connector outlet being the others). This pisses me the fuck off.

Now I have to fiddle with trying to install this bitch while the motor is in the car, with 3-4 inches of room to work with. Ef this.

      Thanks for the heads up.

Actually, I installed that after the engine was in the car on one swap. It's not that bad, but you sort of have to do things by feel. No biggie.

Glad to help. Are you positive that it's the same head? Sounds like they accepted yours as a core and shipped one out that was ready to go and sitting on the shelf..

There isnt much room back there, so good luck. At least there is more than the oil seal cover on the back of M30 heads..
