    Fuel pump issues.. AHH

Well, i finally got the engine back into my car after having to rip it out to solve an oil leak issue(another story) and now it seems my fuel pump is not functioning. The car ran fine before i had to pull the engine out again, and i cannot figure out what has changed. i put a volt meter on the terminals to the fuel pump and turned the ignition on and got nothing, so the fuel pump is not getting 12 volts. I checked continuity between the c101 and the fuel pump and its fine(chassis side of the car is fine) so its somewhere in the engines wiring system that isnt working. I did not touch any of the wiring when i pulled the engine, in fact i left the entire wiring harness in the car. The C101 terminal plugs to a red/blue wire which heads to the computer, and from there i have lost it...

yes 13button obc, but i have unpluged it from behind the dash, i connected the green/brown on the fuel pump replay/ pin 1 on the x6000 to ground and the pump came on, so now i just need to figure out why my computer is not giving it the signal...

it was my experience that on the 87 13 but. obc the control box under the steering wheel on the upper left side was faulty and causing a stall situation because of the fuel issue. Do check the other usual culprits also just dont overlook the box . Swap boxes with another car if you can but if this is the problem you'll know it within seconds . good luck to ya !

obc completely removed, still no pump... i did some reading, and checked the following on the x6000 and they are all right...

            Grounds- 6,28,34,55
            hots - 26,54,56
fuel pump replay -1(when grounded pump comes on)

2 questions. i have 3 3prong wires under the intake, but im not 100% sure i hooked them up right, which wire colors go to which item,(icv, cam sensor, cps)?

also, would painting the timing gear cause this issue?

Seems like you have solved your own problem....

Paint on the crank wheel seems like a bad idea. The car requires CPS to turn on the fuel pump.

can someone confirm if painting the crank wheel will affect the cps? if so do i need to grind the entire thing off? or just one particular area.

also, i think i have the icv and cps wires crossed.

cps is current wt/grn and rd/white and brown, looking at the etm it looks like that is the icv, which would mean my blk, yellow, and kinda clear looking wires would be my cps.. i will try that when i get home from work
