    Main engine ground strap?

OK so the M20 has the main ground strap on the drivers side and the S52 has it on the pass side. How did everybody go about securing the main engine ground strap on the engine mount arm to the chassis?

i just used the m20 one and bolted it to the engine arm with the power steering pump res.. works great and factory length works...

Thats what I was thinking, taking the E36 one off and swapping it to the other side, just didnt know if the PS res would effect it being grounded well, anyone else?

My 3/88 E30 has another ground located on the passenger side of the engine compartment. I put the ground strap there, worked fine.

+1. my 90 had a stud on the passenger frame rail that was exactly like the original on the drivers side. almost like it was waiting for the s52

Make a hole of find another hole, and fasten the strap using a nut and bolt.

                      -Cam

ps. there is no harm done in having two grounding straps, so if you have the means then go ahead and do that as well.
