OK, I am going s52, but pros and cons of obdI or II?

Am I correct in saying that the s52 was never factory OBD1? What are the pros and cons of going retro to OBD1? This will be going in an 87 325is. Thanks

S52 was always obd2, obd1 is much easier to wire, cheaper to maintain (less sensors etc) will add more power to S52. OBD2 has a more powerful computer and better emmisions

What do you mean by "will add more power to s52"? OBD1 will add more power to the
S52? What will I have to find to make it OBD1? Thanks a ton. I have been hitting the searches and I think I have narrowed it down to S52 OBD1. Thanks.

only thing that adds power is the obd1 manifold, and you can slap that on the obd2 s52 without and major issues, just some slight modifciation here and there.

wiring is wiring, they're both a pita.

Yeah I meant the Manifold adding power, obd1 wiring is much simpler that obd2 and obd1 is more documented. I think there are only like 3 or so full obd2 cars on the board as opposed to countless obd1's . I have a S52 that came w/ all OBD2 stuff, took a look at the nightmare and said fuck it full obd1 swap is much easier.
