pin on diag. port info needed

So i need to reset my oil service light and was told i can touch 2 pins together on the diagnostic port to rest the light....does anyone know what 2 pins this might be...i have enough lights on my dash this just adds to my frustration...lol

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Depends on how you wired your harness.

Did you connect the SI wires at the C101?

i didnt wire it...Bought an engine harness adapter from Gregslow

seems like with the late style diagnostic port, which i assume you must have, you can touch pin 7 to ground with the key in the accessory position. you can do a search for it on this forum and the other one. you will be able to find what you are looking for.

the diag port is the one from the donor car which is a 92 NV out of a 325is
