I have the IE adjustable FPR on the 88 325i S52 swap, set at 55 psi. I have noticed the pressure will drop to 0 immediately after shutting the engine off, when it used to stay at around 30 psi, at least for a while.
From what I can gather in the Bentley manual the stock FPR would hold the pressure for a while, easing hot starts.
I also read there is a check valve or something in the fuel pump assembly (the entire assembly, not just the pump) that keeps the pressure in the lines.
Can someone shed some light on this for me? IS there a separate check valve I can replace in the assembly, or should I just replace the entire unit?
