I've got an e21 booster and an e45 m5 master cylinder. I just pressure bled the brakes and the pedal is solid. I've got very little travel and the car stops very well.

I hated the brake feel with the e31 booster before I put in a vacuum reserve canister. On my first drive after finishing the swap, I had almost no brake assist, it was quite scary! After the canister install, the brakes grab nicely. :D

Well its not a fair comparison.

E30 weighs a lot less. Running the same falken rt615 235/40/17 thats a lot of tire with a lot less weight.

But I am having a problem getting the tires warmed up. lol

Well the new MC is a lot nicer IMO. Its a bit to get used to but its nice for the brakes. And HOLY FUCK does my car stop with the new master, booster, and E36 M3 Brakes. My old m3 these brakes came from wish they could stop this well.

I am on E36 M3 Brakes, used MC (which I think is sticking) and a refurbed E21 booster. I feel its a little too much travel. It bites faster then I would expect with the pedal feel it has though. My MC will be here in 40 minutes. The e21 booster was meant for what? A 1.8 4 banger? I have a feeling the new MC might make it perfect.

I was driving the beast and all of the sudden I felt the brakes starting to drag. They didn't drag on my last setup. So I will replace this stupid MC and go from there.

started a topic E21 Boosters and pedal feel

    E21 Boosters and pedal feel

So after my Ix booster aborted it self into 2. I decided to try the E21 Booster. I put a stock e30 MC in currently to have a baseline on pedal feel. Pretty soft but the brakes are grabby. Has anyone tried controlling the amount of Vacuum the booster sees?

I just ordered a 750il MC that I am going to be putting in today and review the pedal feel with the larger MC and same booster.
Working...
