late model expansion tank quesion.

ok so indulge me, 87 is w/ a mishimoto E36 rad and late exp. tank mounted on drivers side. large outlet goes to coolant main pipe, larger nipple goes to the radiator nipple. Where does the little nipple go to on the expansion tank? TIA

it is coolant overflow valve, you can leave it as is, but i put a hose on mine and just ran it down and ziptied to the frame so it pours on the road, and not all over the tank/engine bay.

yup thats all:) it is important, if you overfill your coolant it wont explode your res or lines...

i dont think u are suppose to just let it run off but im not sure which part you are talking about. theres a smaller hose you are suppose to attach to part of the expansion tank that has two nozzles that stick out. one side goes directly to the small nipple on the radiator above the top hose. i think this is how it works. im still installing mine so ill have to confirm later. but i know for sure im missing a small hose that ill have to buy at the store. and a larger upper radiator hose since mine is too short.
