so after my 2.7 stroker died i really wasnt sure what to do or put back in my 30, until i found a guy with a 93 m50 out of a automatic 325is online hit him up got a smokin deal on the engine harness an ecu, with alot of other misc shit to go along, got it to my shop on the engine stand pulled the pan valve cover and confirmed, what the guy said about only havin 44k on the motor was true that thing is sooo clean and tight still i couldnt believe it, so after that i pulled the ecu cover off to check if the factory chip was still there...kinda wished it was but found a RD chip in it so not too sad about it. so to get back to the swap, im using my 260 stock trans, with my lightened m20 flywheel and 6 puck ceramic disk, i just bought a e34 oil pan w/gasket pick up tube dipstick an tube, i need to source out a booster still along with a throttle cable an mounts, i seperated the auto section of the harness tonight very carefully, i cleaned an painted the valve cover, i am goin to order the front an rear main seals(as percaution) along with the valve cover gasket, spark plugs, fuel filter, a can of sea foam, and the two lil plugs for the engine covers(to keep it looking clean for final install) im sure there is more im just forgetting right now. well ill post some pics soon but lmk what you think so far

oil pan got here yesterday with the dip stick, tube, pickup tube, new pan gasket, and oil level sender, the pan is super clean only 3 fins are slightly damaged and the pan is spotless otherwise, along with that my 320i brake booster came in as well(remaned) so ill pick it up tomorrow morning along with the pickup tube gasket and hopefully ill have the motor in and bolted the the trans tomorrow"God created turbo lag to give V8's a chance" Taylor D.

Just go with the G240. Honestly, they need to be in the S52 power range to actually start breaking things, and even then they need to take a beating like a russian hooker to actually do it. It makes the swap essentially bolt in without needing a new tranny crossmember.1985 325e 2.8 Turbo VEMS

if i was in the market for one i prob would but my 30 came with a 260 so im just guna leave it as is, but the cross-member from a 260 doesnt it just have to be cut and re-welded or cant you shim them trans mounts...from my understanding with the twist from the m50 i can just do that right?"God created turbo lag to give V8's a chance" Taylor D.
