    Trany Problems

Has any one else had problems with a getrag getting stuck in a gear, mine seems be stuck in 5th i believe
I encountered a similar problem with a 318is but it was stuck in revers. (what ever the problem was with that car i was told it would not allow the case to be split.)
With mine tho i was on the hyway on my way back to work from lunch, not anything major but i pulled up to the stop light waited. Light turn green went to put it in gear and it wouldnt go in.
The shifter looks as tho its in netural but will not allow you to put the trany into a gear. When u try to push the car you can tell its in gear but a very low gear. Two of us were able to push it but it was hard.
any way just seeign if any one else has had this problem?

I got a getrag 260 stuck in reverse while it was parked (installing a short shifter)- brought it to a trans expert they opened it up and turned out it was a jammed shift fork. They fixed it and put a new some new bushings on/seals total was about $240

That was about 4 years ago lol. In retrospect I probably could have just picked up another used transmission for $1-200. Or a parts car for 3-400 and used the trans out of that. Anyway, good luck.
